Painting the Figure and Flowers Part I

Show schedule

The focus will be on figurative and portrait painting in oils, but also integrated into this unique workshop will be artist Kurt Anderson’s insights into his specialty: floral painting. His instruction is grounded in the classic atelier method, which emphasizes building skill upon skill. With daily demos and personal critiques the first week of instruction will be devoted to the fundamentals of color, brushwork and design. Each daily session will feature a new pose (with different costumes and sometimes flowers) and students will create at least one new painting each day.
